Remove log on messages on server 2008

Problem

When you logon to server 2008 you see message suchas “deploying group policy”, “Running scripts” etc etc. You can disable these if you do not want admins to see what is being processed.

 

 

Solution

This is quite easy to remove a simple system/group policy can be defined.

Click Start | Run (or press WinKey+R).
Type gpedit.msc
Navigate to here:
Local Computer Policy | Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System

Set Remove Boot / Shutdown / Logon / Logoff status messages to Enabled
