If you have installed Windows Server 2012 from the standard media you may find that you server 2012 randomly crashes and hangs, when you get it started again you may see the error below.

This error is down to Windows Server 2012 not being able to communicate with the hardware device correctly with the drivers that are installed, most of the time the error is caused by incompatible storage controller drivers. First run all Windows Updates and then make sure that you have compatible drivers from your vendor. The best way to make sure that the driver is compatible is to use the Windows Server Catalog , link below. This site will give you information on whether the driver has passed certification.
