Dell Equallogic – Modify Delegated Space

I’m generally a HP storage man, in my new position I am doing more work on Dell Equallogic SANs. While setting up site to site replication for a client I added a volume to a replica set and then set replication away. I was greeted with the following error.

“Replication failed due to not enough free delegated space being available on the replication partner”

To resolve this issue I had to log onto the Dell Equallogic Replication partner with group manager and increase the space available. This is the process:

Browse to the replication tab.

increase delegated space Dell Equallogic replication

Once done select the replication partner and right click it. Then browse down to modify delegated space.

Then simply use the wizard to increase the delegated space so it matches the space requirements of the volumes you are replication. Yes I know this is a simple process, but for non dell people this was a pain to find!
